Privacy policy

Istmo Autos is the trade name under which Kevin Josué Rodríguez Hernández operates, based in Tegucigalpa, Honduras (“Istmo Autos”, “we”). For any question about your data, write to us at kevin31344@gmail.com.

When you join the waitlist you give us:

• Your name and your WhatsApp number.
• Your country and, optionally, your city and the kind of car you are looking for.
• If you are a dealer: your business name and how many cars you buy per month.
• The language you used on the site, so we can write to you in it.

Our hosting provider also logs technical data for each visit (IP address, browser and pages requested) for security and troubleshooting. Your browser stores whether you chose dark mode; we do not use advertising cookies or tracking tools.

• Contacting you on WhatsApp about our inventory, prices and car availability.
• If you are a dealer, sending you our inventory and wholesale terms.
• Answering your questions and following up on a car you want to reserve or buy.
• Keeping the site secure and running.

We do not sell, rent or hand over your data to third parties for advertising.

We use your data because you gave us your consent when you signed up. You can withdraw it at any time by writing to us; from then on we stop contacting you and delete your data.

We use providers that store or process data on our behalf, only to run the site:

• Supabase: the database where the waitlist is stored.
• Vercel: website hosting.
• Resend: the internal email alert we receive when someone signs up.
• WhatsApp (Meta): when we talk to you there.

These providers may store data on servers outside your country, including the United States. We may also disclose data when a competent authority lawfully requires it.

For as long as you remain interested in our cars. If 24 months pass without contact, or if you ask us to delete it, we delete it.

At any time you can ask us to show you the data we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or stop contacting you. Write to kevin31344@gmail.com or message us on WhatsApp from the number you signed up with. We reply within 15 business days at most.

Data travels encrypted and only the Istmo Autos team can see the waitlist. No system is infallible, but we take reasonable measures to protect your data.

This site is intended for people 18 and older. If we learn that a minor signed up, we delete their data.

If we change this policy, we publish the new version here with its date. If the change is significant, we will let you know on WhatsApp.
